This project involved the construction of a custom entrance for a community near Weimar. From initial site preparation through final construction, our team worked to create an entrance that would be both attractive and durable while complementing the surrounding landscape.
What Was the Goal?
The community developers wanted an entrance that would create a strong first impression for residents and visitors while adding long-term value to the development. The goal was to build an entrance that reflected the character of the community and provided a clean, professional appearance from the moment guests arrived.
What Challenges Existed?
As with many entrance projects, proper preparation was critical to achieving the desired look and ensuring long-term durability. The site required careful grading and layout work to establish the proper elevation and appearance while creating a finished product that blended naturally with the surrounding property.
In addition to aesthetics, the entrance needed to be built to withstand years of exposure to Texas weather and everyday use.
What Did We Build?
Texas Ranch Resources completed all aspects of the custom entrance construction, beginning with reinforced concrete slabs designed to provide a stable foundation and minimize movement over time. This strong foundation helps ensure the entrance remains structurally sound for years to come.
The entrance features custom stone pillars and walls that were thoughtfully designed with conduit concealed within the stonework. This allowed all wiring for the LED lighting system to remain hidden, creating a clean, finished appearance while highlighting the entrance after dark.
To support the main entrance structure, we special ordered massive 24-inch by 24-inch Douglas Fir timbers. These large beams provide both the strength and visual impact needed to create a distinctive entrance that stands out from standard designs.
Our team also custom fabricated and welded the metal gates on-site before installing a commercial-grade LiftMaster gate operator system for reliable access control. The gate and surrounding fencing were constructed using fully welded 6-inch by 6-inch square tubing, creating a durable and secure perimeter. In total, the project included approximately 300 feet of custom fencing integrated into the overall entrance design.
